As a full service contracting business, ECSI specializes in the following:
  • Environmental Services including Asbestos/Mould/Lead Abatement and Remediation;
  • Industrial Services including UST Install & Removal/Spill Clean Up/Gas Station Maintenance and Insulation;
  • General Construction Services including Commercial/Industrial/Residential;
  • Post Disaster Restoration Services including Fire/Wind/Rain;
  • Waste Management Services including Commercial/Industrial/Residential.

ECSI is looking to hire a Manager, Environmental Services.

Reporting to: General Manager


POSITION SUMMARY
    The Manager, Environmental Services is responsible for the overall performance of the division, including but not limited to:
  • Strategic Growth and Sales;
  • Operational Excellence;
  • Customer Service/Client Relations/Retention;
  • Leadership;
  • Brand Relations;
  • Stakeholder Relations;
  • Financial Performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to the following:

STRATEGIC GROWTH & SALES: Retain and grow market share:
  • Diversification;
  • Service Development;
  • Market Penetration;
  • Market Development.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Manage operational team to deliver on budget and on schedule;
  • Manage resources;
  • Streamline processes;
  • Continuous improvement (Six Sigma, Lean Thinking)
CUSTOMER SERVICE / CLIENT RELATIONS
  • Liase with client through project life cycle to ensure spec and quality standards exceeded and secure positive customer satisfaction
  • Support Project Manager to resolve disputes and/or complaints
  • Post billing follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and address billing queries
  • Support Accounting as needed to expedite payment
LEADERSHIP
  • Builds, leads and deploys the best quality team
  • Develops a performance management process with team having regular feedback and specific development plans
  • Support Management team to resolve disputes and complaints
  • Support team to promote open communication, customer service excellence and industry leading reputation for quality and safety
BRAND RELATIONS
  • Act as “Brand Ambassador” at all times
  • Recognize and refer intercompany services
  • Support corporate mission, vision, values
  • Balance growth, profits, quality and H&S simultaneously to build and preserve brand
STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS Support team to balance and satisfy 4 key stakeholders simultaneously:
  • Client
  • Employees
  • Shareholders
  • Authorities

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

  • Grow top line through organic and/or inorganic growth
  • Economies of Scale
  • Efficiency and effectiveness
  • Customer Attrition
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • University degree or college diploma in business, or construction
  • 5+ years’ experience estimating both ICI and Residential remediation projects
  • 10+ years’ experience in Management capacity in the environmental services industry
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • MTCU Certification 253S (preferred)
  • Level I, II, III Mould Abatement Practices
  • Basics of Supervising
  • Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness in 5 Steps
  • WHMIS
  • Working at Heights
  • Standard First Aid with CPR A + AED
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Detailed understanding of construction practices for asbestos, mould, lead remediation and internal demolition.
  • Detailed understanding and ability to read and interpret blue prints and CCDC specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating building construction and remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of MOL guidelines and legislation
  • Passion for selling and ambition to excel
  • Respect and appreciation for detail
  • Clear and concise communication style
  • Ability to plan and organize a team with capacity to motivate and lead
  • Good client management and goodwill building ability
  • Experience managing and monitoring budgets
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
  • Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).
